Eco Print Workshop - 5/17

Discover the organic beauty of eco printing, a natural dyeing process that uses leaves, flowers, and plant materials to create intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns on fabric. Guided by experienced fiber artists Lori O’Neill and Amy Smith, this hands-on workshop explores the magic of transferring nature’s colors and textures directly onto textiles.

You’ll learn the foundational techniques of eco dyeing, including plant selection, fabric preparation, and the steaming process that brings each design to life. Through layering botanicals and experimenting with composition, you’ll create pieces that feel both earthy and expressive — each one a unique imprint of the natural world.

Participants will create their own eco printed scarves, including a silk piece, with time to explore different plant materials and design approaches. The process is immersive, tactile, and deeply satisfying, inviting you to slow down and connect with nature through making.

All materials are provided and fabrics will be pre-treated in advance, so you can focus fully on the creative process.
